Eatwell DC in Bloomingdale?

So I've heard rumblings of Eatwell DC considering opening a
restaurant in the Bloomingdale area...

Nothing definite...just a whisper, really.

But the beginning of something developing.

Their restaurants are Grillfish in West End, The Heights in Columbia Heights, Logan Tavern, and Commissary in the Logan Circle area.

They're a great casual dining chain that I think would be a perfect fit for Bloomingdale. Does anyone know of good spaces for them to look at?

God I just want something to open up around here that will feed me on a tri-weekly basis!

Any word on the progress of Rustik Tavern?

Please open! Bloomingdale is screaming and wailing for a restaurant!

1st and Seaton space (NW corner) - it's large enough, towering ceilings and has incredible character. Would be perfect for this type of restaurant.

The problem with 1st and Seaton is the landlord is completely unrealistic about how much rent he can charge, and I believe the last few potential tenants were scared off with demands from him that he be a partner in any business venture.

Do you have anything more concrete than "I heard it through the grapevine?" I'd also assume that most restaurant owner/operators worth their salt would be able to scout out locations on their own without having to farm that out, but if we're playing no-holds-barred "I wish," then the yellow building on the corner of First and Seaton would definitely be first on the list.

What about the corner on 2nd Street and Florida Ave NW? The building has been vacant for several years. At one time it had retail establishments on the street level facing Florida Ave and there is a lot of space for outside seating. The location is on the boundary of Shaw, Bloomingdale, eckington and Ledroit Park.

Ok, I am trying to figure out who to contact with these suggestions since they don't have a communal email address. They have a facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/search/?post_form_id=bd595d8382bc9ad10ef3955be61e074f&q=eatwelldc&init=quick&ref=search_loaded#!/pages/Eat-Well-DC/343063560040?ref=search&sid=7800560.1450812834..1
But you can't post on it. I will get in touch with my source and let him know there are people with ideas for locations and interest
